What we illustrate

Everything inside the book — and everything around it.

Cover illustration

The single image that has to do the work of a thousand words. We design covers that stand out on a thumbnail and hold up in hand.

Interior spreads

Full-bleed spreads, vignettes, half-page scenes. Consistent characters, settings, and color logic across every page of the book.

Character design

A character sheet showing your protagonist from every angle, in every emotion — so the illustrator (even if it's us again) can keep them consistent.

Endpapers & extras

Title pages, dedication pages, endpapers, and marketing illustrations. The small touches that make a book feel complete.

Pick a style

Questions

The answers we give most often.

How long does a full picture book take?
Most 32-page picture books take 8–12 weeks from brief to final delivery. The timeline depends on the number of spreads, rounds of revision, and how quickly you can review milestones.
Do you work from an existing manuscript?
Yes — most of our projects start with a finished or near-finished manuscript. If your story is still in draft form, we can recommend freelance editors we've worked with.
Can you match a specific look I have in mind?
Within reason. Our six signature styles cover most of what authors ask for. If you have a very specific aesthetic in mind, send us references — we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
Will my characters stay consistent across all pages?
Yes. Character consistency is the core of good picture book illustration. We build character sheets upfront and reference them on every single spread.

Concept specialties

Books built around a specific idea.

Sometimes the brief is a theme, not a format. These pages go deeper on five concept types we illustrate often.
